This British Study determined women generally seek older men as opposed to what’s seen on TV and in the news, whereas men desire a young and attractive woman, and often prefer a much younger partner as they themselves age. Dr. Michael Dunn, a psychologist at the University of Wales who led the study, goes on to call “the cougar phenomenon myth”
REALLY? A lot of women I know have experienced younger men hitting on them, probably moreso than older men (who may just be chasing down much younger women). I wonder if this study is more UK based – could it differ that much in the States…especially places like Southern California or Las Vegas?
Time Magazine, however, wasn’t quick to buy Dunn’s results, citing a 2003 study by AARP, which concluded that 34 percent of 40-and-older women were dating younger men. And 35% said they preferred dating younger men over dating same-age or older men.
Hummmmm….WHAT DO YOU THINK?
